This was just in Japan people. When I hear that MGS4 moved a ton of PS3s worldwide, then I'll be impressed.
I used to respect Edge because they're hard on games, and I like reviewers to be hard on games. But then Edge gave Halo 3 a 10. How can you respect any magazine that gives Halo 3 a 10? Edge is retarted.
It'll be a rental service. Xbox live has had a rental service forever. I'm sure the PSN service will be just like the xbox one. You can start watching the movie after five or ten minutes, and then the rest downloads as you're watching the movie. On xbox live you can only keep the movie for 24 hours after you press 'play' though. Hopefully, the PSN will let you keep movies longer than one day.
Theres no way you're going to be able to buy movies off the PSN. It'll just be a rental service just like the xbox live one. This is still great news though. Renting on-line is really convenient. I just hope that the PS3 can be used as a DVR in the US someday. I'm pretty sure the DVR, Play TV stuff is just for europe. Too bad.
Eternal Sonata better than Lost Odyssey? You might want to consider cutting back on the smack.
"Cliffy B" is really starting to get on my nerves. I'm tired of his whole act. Gears is a good game, but MGS4 absolutely destroys it. Enough trash talking cliff, get to work fixing the draw distance in your games.

Where do you get the emotion bullets? I've passed the game and am on my second play-through and I don't have them. Must have missed something.
(P.S.--watch Shindler's List, There Will Be Blood, Unforgiven and probably 30 other movies that really do qualify as art, and then tell me how awesome MGS4's story is. Its absurd to even compare MGS4 to these great films.)
Come on guys, MGS4 is one of the best games I've ever played, its awesome, but is the story really the best video game story ever? Not even close! Snake (solid) is a great character, and the best part of the game, but all that Raiden anime BS? All those Liquid cutscenes that are like a "face-off" style bad action movie? All those long, pointless Meryl cutscenes? Making Snake old was a stroke of genius. The constant pain and sickness that he has to fight through makes him really comp...
There is one thing all gamers everywhere can agree on: Shadow of the Collosus is the greatest videogame of all time.

What am I, a computer programmer? I don't understand half of what you're talking about. All I know is that 95% of multi-plats look better on the 360 (including games that were supposedly developed from the ground up on both consoles, like COD4. The 360 version of COD4 has better textures and anti-aliasing), just about every game on the PS3 has bad textures (except for heavenly sword and uncharted, and you can't count those because they are third-person, so you never see the textures up close)...
The PS3 has a lot of problems. Hard to develop for, constant installs, bad textures, RAM issues, and on and on. The worst part is that even with all these problems, its still more expensive than the 360! The PS3 just seems like a pain in the azz. I don't know what Sony was thinking with the PS3. I just don't. (That said, I don't regret buying a PS3 for one second. If I didn't buy a PS3, I would have missed out on great exclusives like MGS4, uncharted, resistance, killzone 2, little big planet...
What part of actual history is the cyborg ninja who beats up a bunch of giant robots based on? MGS4 is a great game, but the plot is definitely overblown. The second half of the plot is like a bad anime TV show. I don't want to spoil anything, so I won't go into detail, but some of the stuff Raiden does is ridiculous. Also, most US reviewers gave MGS4 great scores. GamesTM, Edge, Eurogamer- they are all european mags and they all gave MGS4 8s. American reviewers like MGS4, european reviewers ...
What the F-? MGS4 is a great game, and I love it, but the textures are terrible! TERRIBLE! You totally misquoted gametrailers. Blurry and low res textures are EVERYWHERE! For the love of.......... Go play the jungle section of South America. Go watch the Big Momma cutscene. Those are some of the worst textures I've ever seen in a next-gen game. MGS4 has many, many great qualities. Its a great game. But textures are its biggest weakness, by far. What the F-? Just WHAT THE F-?!!!!!!!!!
I can't see the pictures because I'm at work, but from what a lot of people are saying on this thread, the backgrounds are even blurrier, and the draw distance is EVEN WORSE than in Gears 1. Gears was a good game, but this is very disturbing because gears 1 had the worst draw distance and blurry backgrounds I've ever seen in any videogame. If those backgrounds get any blurrier in gears 2, I think it might ruin the game. Damn you Cliffy B!
